The merciful
Sermon on the Mount
Lord, you said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I seek you now.
Jeremiah 29:13
Holy Spirit, open my eyes, that I may see wonderful things in your word.
Psalm 119:18
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1
7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
- Jesus says, “Blessed are the merciful.” Who in your life is waiting for mercy you have been holding back?
- Where are you quick to see the faults of others and slow to remember how much mercy you have received?
- He promises the merciful “will be shown mercy.” What mercy from God do you need today?
His word
Jesus, you said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
Receive
I have been shown so much mercy. Make me merciful to others, and I receive your mercy again today.
Thanks
Thank you that your mercy toward me does not run out. Amen.
