Shared with you
Two masters
Sermon on the Mount
Lord, you said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I seek you now.
Jeremiah 29:13
Holy Spirit, open my eyes, that I may see wonderful things in your word.
Psalm 119:18
You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1
24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
- Jesus says, “No one can serve two masters.” What else is competing with God for your loyalty?
- He says, “You cannot serve both God and money.” Where does money make decisions in your life that God should make?
- What do your worries reveal about which master you are serving?
His word
Jesus, you said, “You cannot serve both God and money.”
Receive
I will not serve two masters. I give you my money, my plans and my heart; you alone are my Lord.
Thanks
Thank you that you are a good master who provides for me. Amen.
