Shared with you
Seek first his kingdom
Sermon on the Mount
Holy Spirit, open my eyes, that I may see wonderful things in your word.
Psalm 119:18
Father, give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know you better.
Ephesians 1:17
Spirit of truth, guide me into all the truth.
John 16:13
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
- Jesus says, “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.” What are you actually seeking first in your mornings, your plans, your thoughts?
- What need are you chasing as if your heavenly Father did not know you need it?
- He says, “Do not worry about tomorrow.” Which tomorrow are you living in today?
His word
Jesus, you said, “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Receive
I put your kingdom first today. I trust you with tomorrow.
Thanks
Thank you, Father, that you know what I need. Amen.
