What does Isaiah 44:24 mean?

Isaiah 44:24 presents the LORD as the one who both cares for Israel and made the whole world. The verse joins his relationship with his people to his power as creator: the one who claims them as his own is also the one responsible for heaven and earth.

The LORD addresses Israel as “thee,” speaking to the people as one. “Formed thee from the womb” pictures his care for the nation from its earliest beginnings. The image of stretching out the heavens suggests a vast covering spread overhead.
