What does 1 Chronicles 23:25 mean?

1 Chronicles 23:25 gives David’s reason for a change in the Levites’ work. He says that the LORD has given Israel rest and a lasting home in Jerusalem. The Levites, members of an Israelite tribe with duties connected to worship, would therefore serve in a settled place.
