What does Ezra 10:29 mean?

Ezra 10:29 names six men from the family of Bani as part of a list of Israelites who had married foreign women. The list records the men involved in the action described earlier in Ezra 10, when the community agreed to separate from those wives.

The phrase “sons of Bani” identifies a family group rather than necessarily saying that all six were Bani’s immediate sons. The verse continues the list without a speaker addressing the men directly; their names appear as part of the book’s record.
